Do Companion Drivers Pass Background Checks?

Yep! Prior to allowing Driver to provide Rideshare Services, Onward Health will use commercially reasonable efforts and comply with all applicable state, federal, or local laws to ensure that Driver:

1. is not currently registered on the United States Department of Justice National Sex Offender public website
2. has never been convicted of, or is not currently charged with, a felony (as defined by any US State or Federal criminal law
3. has not been convicted within the past 7 years of misdemeanor assault or battery, domestic violence, driving under the influence, voter intimidation, or various other offenses which could reasonably pose a concern to Rider safety. 

In order to meet this requirement, Onward Health will conduct an initial and continual (once every year, on the anniversary date of the signing of this Agreement) local and national criminal background check as may also be required by state law.  Additionally, Onward Health, as may be required by state law, may require an added LiveScan background check due to the vulnerable nature of Riders we serve. By signing below, Driver consents to these initial and all continual local and national criminal background checks. Driver agrees to sign any written consent forms provided by Onward Health or its background check vendor to allow these background checks to occur.  Driver’s failure or refusal to consent to these local and national criminal background checks (including LiveScan) at any time shall be grounds for termination of this Agreement.
